![]() Want to make a race from the ground up using the race editor feature? Legends has got you covered, and these races can be used as multiplayer options also. There is a lot to do here, which is great considering how short-lived the story mode is and the game caters well for whatever mood the gamer is in. Take part in a roster of driving disciplines including GT, drift, open-wheel, amongst others while using one of the 100 plus vehicles available. More fun is offered to deviate from the career slog and participate in some of the alternative modes. Career mode does what is expected of it with linear progression and an increasingly difficult race class system offering specific XP and credit rewards. Outside of the short-lived story mode, there are masses of other game modes available to work through, be it through a slightly complicated and convoluted menu and HUD systems that are as frustrating as they are aesthetically pleasing. As an introduction to the tracks and different racing disciplines, however, along with a relatively speedy completion time (around 6 to 7 hours), this mode is fun and doesn’t outstay its welcome. Not to say it isn’t fun, but there is a whiff of the old Command and Conquer games about it and there is plenty of cheesy dialogue. The problem is the melodrama (and subsequent cringe factor), of which there is an abundance. The cut scenes within the story mode are shot in real-time video with real-life actors and digitized backgrounds (similar to Disney’s The Mandalorian) and while looking a little flat, work well enough. The issue is that a video game strictly adhering to its own genre of racing, leaves little room for nuanced plot machinations. This mode offers little new to the format and is entirely unoriginal. Back in the driver’s seatĬodemasters’ 2022 effort opens gameplay immediately into the story mode ‘Driven to Glory’, a narrative-focused mockumentary following the progress of an underdog racing team and rookie driver as they compete against stereotypical racing dramas. Featuring characters in the story mode first introduced back in 2002 and sporadically seen throughout the GRID franchise, fans of the series will recognize many of the names featured. ![]() Do not wait any longer and discover other related electronics and computers products in the Consoles category that can complement your order, techinn offers an efficient delivery service.GRID Legends, Codemasters’ new addition to the slick racing series started way back in 2008 and acts not only as a sequel to 2019’s GRID but also 2002’s TOCA Race Driver on the PSX from the same developer. ![]() Buy Electronic arts PS5 Grid Legends Game with the lowest price guarantee.
